<\/a>One of the interesting things I\u2019ve noticed recently (and it\u2019s quite different than previous years), my colleagues and friends are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the New Year.\u00a0 Many of them are feeling a shift toward positive thinking and energy.\u00a0 The consensus is that 2012 is \u201cThe Year\u201d!\u00a0 I feel \u201cit\u201d as well.<\/p>\nThe Complete Marketing Systems Team has been coordinating calendars, planning, setting priorities and organizing for 2012. As we\u2019ve reflected on this business year, we have taken note of improvements for next year, the need for building our Team, shifts in our focus, and the projects we want to develop over the next year.<\/p>\n
If you haven\u2019t begun your planning process for next year, you are as late as we are!\u00a0 Here are a few tips to get you moving in your planning process.<\/p>\n
7 No Nonsense Tips To A Rockin\u2019 New Year<\/p>\n

- Review 2011!\u00a0 Don\u2019t be easy on yourself.\u00a0 Don\u2019t make excuses.\u00a0 Praise yourself for successes.\u00a0 Give yourself a hug.\u00a0 Like a good friend of mine says, \u201cIt is What It Is!\u201d\u00a0 Be in integrity with yourself.\u00a0 Remember that thoughts are things.\u00a0 If you try to embellish the truth, you will fool yourself into \u201cnon-growth\u201d in 2012.\u00a0 So the bottom line is\u2026 Be Real!<\/li>\n
- Lean Forward In The Saddle!\u00a0 Ok, \u2013 2011 is done and you can\u2019t change a thing.\u00a0 It is what it is, so let it go.\u00a0 What would you like to accomplish in the New Year? (It\u2019s called \u201cNew Year\u201d for a reason you know!)\u00a0\u00a0 Nothing is impossible.\u00a0 Are there products you\u2019d like to create? New programs to introduce? Write everything down and I mean everything!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

- Choose Your Priorities!\u00a0 Now that you have your list, you can evaluate what your priorities are.\u00a0 What\u2019s first, what are you most passionate about?\u00a0 What can you implement quickly?\u00a0 What\u2019s second, what will take the most time and effort to create or implement?\u00a0 What will you continue and how from the previous year.\u00a0 Now you\u2019ve whittled down your list to the items you really want to FOCUS on during the NEW YEAR!<\/li>\n
- Grab A Calendar, Sharpies and Sticky Notes!\u00a0 This where and when you start to develop your plan.\u00a0 Start by placing all of the known events, travel, workshops, seminars etc, and YOUR VACATION <\/em>, on the calendar.\u00a0 Then select the item from your list that you are most passionate about.\u00a0 Select a date (milestone) as to when that item WILL <\/span> <\/em> <\/span> <\/strong>be completed and implemented.\u00a0 Place that date on your calendar.\u00a0 Do the same with the other items on your list.\u00a0 Remember to schedule only the items (plus one) that you can reasonably get rolling. It\u2019s always great to stretch yourself however; scheduling too much will cause you to become quickly overwhelmed.<\/li>\n
- Backward Plan Your Priorities!\u00a0 During this step you\u2019ll want to think about all of the steps required to implement your priorities.\u00a0 Starting with the end result and date in mind <\/span>, place on your calendar those key items necessary for each of your priorities to be completed.\u00a0 Don\u2019t forget your marketing plan in the process.\u00a0 You may find that you over-scheduled yourself, or that you will require additional team members to complete your priorities.\u00a0 That\u2019s OK!\u00a0 Adjust and move forward, my friend!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

- Visualize Your Priorities Completed!\u00a0 This step is one that most people don\u2019t do.\u00a0 You chose your priorities for the New Year \u2013 the ones that you are specifically passionate about.\u00a0 You have a \u201cBurning Desire\u201d to bring your creation and contribution into the world and to your followers.\u00a0 Visualize the project complete, visualize you completing each task, visualize what the launch will look like, and visualize how happy you will feel and proud you will be when you\u2019ve completed launching your program or product.\u00a0 You\u2019re mind will help you find the way to complete your priorities.<\/li>\n
- FOCUS <\/em> and Implement! Of course we all know if you don\u2019t WORK <\/em> and implement, nothing gets done.\u00a0 Most entrepreneurs really don\u2019t have a problem with working per say, what they have the biggest challenge is with FOCUS <\/em>.\u00a0 Be ruthless with yourself, use blocks of time to accomplish tasks, don\u2019t answer the telephone during specified times, turn your email off (minimize) or don\u2019t even check it randomly.\u00a0 Schedule appointments of FOCUS time with yourself.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
