If you already have a video crew at your event videotaping then live streaming is just one more service to add. \u00a0And it\u2019s an additional service that can add a stream of income to your event.<\/p>\n

The other thing to consider is that your preference is going to be to have people in the chairs, live, at your event. \u00a0People in the room with you are easier to sell into your coaching programs, and home-study systems, and courses, or whatever it is you\u2019re selling at the event. \u00a0It\u2019s also easier to network with them when they\u2019re right there in front of you as opposed to seeing you on a computer screen.<\/p>\n

Sometimes, it\u2019s just impossible for people to attend your event live. \u00a0There are travel arrangements to make, an investment in a hotel room, scheduling conflicts, as well as time away from the business and family. \u00a0It\u2019s a lot to compete with to get people to come to your event. \u00a0And it doesn\u2019t necessarily mean just because they can\u2019t make it, that they don\u2019t want your information. \u00a0It doesn\u2019t mean they don\u2019t want to be with you live. \u00a0There\u2019s just a lot to consider, and you need to consider that when you decide whether to add live streaming as an option.<\/p>\n

One important tip you need to know if you decide to add live streaming to your events is you don\u2019t want to announce the live stream until the last week or ten days before the event starts.<\/p>\n

Remember, you want as many people in the room with you as possible, and if you tell everybody up front that you\u2019re going to offer this as a live stream, who\u2019s going to come? \u00a0Who\u2019s going to spend the extra money to come to your event? \u00a0There may be a few people who would rather be there in person, but you take the chance of significantly decreasing your numbers if you announce the live stream too early.<\/p>\n

The key is to market the live stream right before your event. \u00a0And, you want to market the live stream only to people who haven\u2019t signed up for the event. \u00a0Don\u2019t market the live stream to people who have already committed to coming in person.<\/p>\n

Now, you\u2019ll have clients on the live stream, who pay to view your event that way. \u00a0And you\u2019ll use one of the services available to create your live stream page, with your handouts and whatever you\u2019re giving to your in-person clients. \u00a0But here\u2019s something else that you\u2019ll need to do\u2026<\/p>\n

Keep your live stream guests involved.<\/p>\n

If you have exercises, have them do the exercises with you. \u00a0Encourage them to participate. \u00a0Give them a specific email address to send their questions to, and encourage them to send questions. \u00a0Avoid using just the chat box, because they want their questions answered too and there\u2019s a greater chance of their question being missed if they type it into the chat box.<\/p>\n
