{"id":2895,"date":"2013-08-14T09:45:46","date_gmt":"2013-08-14T13:45:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.completemarketingsystems.com\/cms\/?p=2895"},"modified":"2013-08-14T09:45:46","modified_gmt":"2013-08-14T13:45:46","slug":"instant-gratification-%e2%80%93-the-small-business-killer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.completemarketingsystems.com\/cms\/instant-gratification-%e2%80%93-the-small-business-killer","title":{"rendered":"Instant Gratification \u2013 The Small Business Killer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The need for instant gratification in business is becoming more prevalent, especially in the world of internet marketing, because things happen so quickly online.\u00a0 You can test and quickly measure to get information on whether or not things are working, and this just perpetuates the need for instant gratification.<\/p>\n<p>While instant gratification is a huge advantage in today\u2019s market, it makes it difficult to remember that not everything happens instantly.\u00a0 Sometimes you give up too soon and you stop marketing before you should, because it didn\u2019t work the very first time and give you the instant result you wanted.<\/p>\n<p>Now, that doesn\u2019t mean you shouldn\u2019t be testing and measuring your marketing. \u00a0You still want to know what\u2019s working, and what your return on investment is. \u00a0Just understand that sometimes you\u2019re a little less patient than you should be, and some things take a little time \u2013 sometimes longer than we\u2019d like.<\/p>\n<p>The average person needs to see a message, or to see you about seven times to get to know you in order to build the know, like, and trust factor, and then say \u201cyes\u201d to your product.\u00a0 If you stop marketing after two or three times, then you\u2019ve gone away, and they don\u2019t even know you\u2019re there anymore.<\/p>\n<p>A great example of this is the person who has been on your list for two years, five years or maybe longer, and has never invested in anything.\u00a0 You continue to market to them, but still nothing.<\/p>\n<p>While it may be tempting to take those people off your list because you want that instant gratification, and you want them to buy from you instantly, you shouldn\u2019t be too hasty. \u00a0What if after all of that time on your list, reading your ezine, watching your videos, and seeing your testimonials, they decide to attend an event and invest in one of your high-level coaching programs?\u00a0 Was it worth the wait?\u00a0 For most business owners it would be worth the wait, but when you\u2019re in instant gratification mode, you tend to forget to look at the bigger picture, because you want the instant gratification.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.completemarketingsystems.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/instant-gratification.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2896\" title=\"instant-gratification\" src=\"https:\/\/www.completemarketingsystems.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/instant-gratification.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"269\" height=\"244\" \/><\/a>Instant gratification is great, as long as you don\u2019t expect it in everything you do.\u00a0 Don\u2019t let your need for instant gratification be the death of your business, be the reason you quit, or the reason you stop marketing.\u00a0 Be patient.<\/p>\n<p>The reason you market is because it takes time to build the know, like, and trust factor.\u00a0 It takes time for people to watch you and decide to say \u201cyes\u201d to what you\u2019re offering them.\u00a0 So, be patient.\u00a0 Don\u2019t get so caught up in your need for instant gratification that you lose sight of the big picture of your business.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The need for instant gratification in business is becoming more prevalent, especially in the world of internet marketing, because things happen so quickly online.\u00a0 You can test and quickly measure to get information on whether or not things are working, and this just perpetuates the need for instant gratification.
