Do you ever struggle in your business (or your life) and end\nup internalizing things to the point where you actually start thinking\nsomething is wrong with you? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, things snowball and we lose our ability to\nseparate things in our lives. We don\u2019t mean for it to\u2026it just happens.  As much as we want to compartmentalize, and\nkeep things in their separate boxes, sometimes, it\u2019s hard to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I recently experienced this and I was really letting things\npull me down \u2013 into a place I didn\u2019t want to go, but I couldn\u2019t seem to find a\nway back to what felt like me\u2026that strong women who had drive and purpose and\ndirection and who took focused action every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I struggled<\/strong> for\nlonger than I\u2019d like to admit and nothing seemed to help\u2026at least not for long.\nI\u2019d feel better for an hour or two or a day, if I was lucky, and then all that doubt and negative self-talk<\/strong> would just\ncome back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was vegging out in front of the TV, distracted and\nuninspired in my work and most other things too.  Not\nfeeling very productive<\/strong> most days and I just couldn\u2019t figure out why or put\nmy finger on what was going on and why I\ncouldn\u2019t pull myself out of this FUNK<\/strong>\u2026and WORSE, for me, was not knowing\nwhat to DO about it. I didn\u2019t know how to FIX it so I could feel like myself\nagain\u2026or at least start to move forward<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was forcing myself to do things\u2026work, attend events, be around people\u2026after all, something had to work to make it different, right?

Isn\u2019t it funny how we tend to look outside of ourselves when we\u2019re searching for something\u2026the answers are always inside of us \u2013 but we do sometimes need a little push or encouragement or sometimes just the right words that spark something inside of us to click and everything seems to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s exactly what happened. A comment somebody made at an event I attended, got me to thinking. So much so that I asked a trusted friend and colleague a few questions and a day or so later, I had a light bulb moment\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026I realized this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THERE IS NOTHING\nWRONG<\/strong> WITH ME\u2026sounds silly \u2013 I’m almost embarrassed to type the words. As\none friend said to me when I revealed my big discovery\u2026\u201dDuh, Diane!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But when I had that revelation, when it hit me that this was really true, I smiled for day\u2026you know, one of those cheesy, silly grins that lights up your whole face and seems to stretch from ear to ear. Yep, it was that! And, I said those words to myself over and over again \u2013 out loud and to myself (while smiling) \u2013 \u201cThere\u2019s nothing wrong with me\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, I’m here to tell you there\u2019s nothing wrong with you either<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
