Marketing sometimes gets a bad rap\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People will say things like \u201cit\u2019s yucky\u201d or \u201cit makes me\nfeel dirty\u201d and the list goes on and on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If that\u2019s true for you, then what you\u2019re experiencing is Not\nMarketing<\/strong> \u2013 at least not marketing done the way it should be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marketing can be defined in many ways<\/strong>. Simply put,\nit\u2019s really everything you do in your business to put yourself in a situation\nto sell your programs, products and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While that may seem like a big, broad definition, if you\nthink about it, it may be the truest definition of marketing you\u2019ve ever heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, what does that really mean?

\nIt means that marketing is about building the relationship with your\nprospect and your client so they will want to know more about you and what you\ndo and then buy from you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By that definition what does marketing include\u2026 \u221a Social Media\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u221a Articles<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u221a Emails\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u221a Interviews<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you put you in your marketing and stop thinking about it\nas some formula you have to follow or how you can use the latest tactic to get\na sale, you may just discover that marketing is fun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marketing is how you let your clients and prospects get to\nknow you a little better, it\u2019s how you ultimately SERVE your clients<\/strong> and\nhow you make money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do some people use tactics that might not resonate with you? Sure, they do. We\u2019ve all had less than stellar experiences with people marketing to us or trying to sell us something that didn\u2019t sit right with us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key for you is to not do those same things\u2026to be more personal, caring and to come from a place of serving and doing what\u2019s right for your clients and prospects (please don\u2019t think I’m saying here that the client is always right \u2013 I don\u2019t believe that, but that\u2019s a discussion for another day).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
