For years, I marveled at Carnival Cruise Lines and all the marketing they did. Some of it\u2019s very subtle and some of it\u2019s more obvious. From the minute you book your cruise to the second you get off the ship they are marketing to you in so many ways.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve gained marketing and business lessons from watching movies<\/strong> and series on Netflix \u2013 and I\u2019m not talking about documentaries\u2026 shows like \u201cDesignated Survivor\u201d and \u201cAll American\u201d.<\/p>\n There are so many levels to running a company<\/strong>. So many little nuances<\/strong> that can make big differences in your business. So many of these often go unseen\u2026 especially to people who don\u2019t own businesses.<\/p>\n And when it comes right down to it, it\u2019s All Marketing.<\/strong><\/p>\n What if you thought of everything you do in your business as marketing? Every decision you make, everything you promote, everything you post\u2026<\/p>\n All of it!<\/p>\n It really is all marketing \u2013 you just have to shift your mindset to think about it a little differently.<\/p>\n This became even more apparent to me in the past several months as I watched Peloton take one of the instructor\u2019s pregnancies and offer first time pre-and post-natal classes.<\/p>\n Then I watched as they did the same thing with another instructor\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n The personas that are built around the classes, the classes that are offered, the instructors\u2026 all offshoots of the companies marketing, vision and plan.<\/p>\n It\u2019s all out there. You just have to look for it. And then ask yourself how you can apply the lesson to your business.<\/p>\n Do you make it a habit to look for these kinds of lessons in your everyday life?
