\nThey all see<\/strong> exactly the same thing.<\/span>
\nThey\u2019re all in the same place at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do they all agree?<\/span><\/p>\n

No!<\/span><\/p>\n

Because their experience is different.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Their experience of the current situation.<\/span>
\nTheir past experiences are different too.<\/span>
\nWe all bring different things to the same experience \u2013<\/strong> so we see it from a different point of view (and point to view).<\/span><\/p>\n

As adults, once we make up our minds about something it\u2019s sometimes hard to get us to change our minds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isn\u2019t that why arguments<\/strong> happen?<\/span>
\nIsn\u2019t that why people hold grudges?<\/strong><\/span>
\nIsn\u2019t that why we don\u2019t have more peace<\/strong> in the world?<\/span><\/p>\n

The answer is yes\u2026<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I had jury duty last week.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I was chosen to serve \u2013 for the first time ever.<\/span><\/p>\n

And the whole experience got me thinking \u2013 about a lot of things. Here, we\u2019ll keep it to the business stuff.<\/span><\/p>\n

Psychology plays a role in everything related to people\u2026<\/strong> which is pretty much everything.<\/span><\/p>\n

And, if you understand the basic principles of how people think, it will help you in a lot of situations.<\/span><\/p>\n

You still can\u2019t change other people.<\/strong> But it might give you some insights.<\/span><\/p>\n

And as a business owner, if you understand what makes people tick and what makes them buy,<\/strong> you can tailor your offers<\/strong> to what people want<\/strong> (not what they need\u2026 what they want!)<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

That can give you a big advantage!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

One definition of marketing<\/strong> that I like is that it\u2019s Psychology Plus Math.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Basically, that means marketing is understanding how people think and knowing your numbers. Look at the best marketing and see if you agree or not.<\/span><\/p>\n

You may not like marketing.<\/strong><\/span>
\nYou may not like math.<\/strong><\/span>
\nBut you need both to have a successful<\/strong> business.<\/span><\/p>\n
