They say imitation is the highest and most sincere form of flattery.<\/strong> (Ever wonder who they are? I do\u2026 all the time\u2026 lol)<\/p>\n

\"\"When I say imitation,<\/strong> I don\u2019t mean copying or plagiarizing \u2013 that\u2019s just wrong, no matter how you look at it.<\/p>\n

I was blessed to have spent the weekend with my favorite two-year-old, and as I was observing him, I noticed how he had started to imitate so many things. From facial expressions to putting his hands in his pockets, wanting to drink whatever you have, taking over my favorite recliner, and more\u2026<\/p>\n

It’s both refreshing and a little scary<\/strong> \u2013 because now I have to be more conscious of what I do (and say) \u2013 which is probably a good thing!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the same in business.<\/p>\n

Pretty much everyone has modeled something<\/strong> in their business from somebody they admire and respect.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A talk.
\nA product.
\nAn image.
\nAn idea.
\nA product launch.<\/p>\n

The list goes on and on.<\/p>\n

Remember, I didn\u2019t say copy\u2026 I said modeled.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There\u2019s a big difference!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some of us might have even originally modeled<\/strong> our businesses after another person\u2019s.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s modeling in almost every business niche and area you can think of. Somebody was there first in every field \u2013 then, others followed. Modeling.<\/p>\n

Car rental agencies \u2013 are all pretty much alike.
\nBuying a new car \u2013 most car places are relatively similar.
\nDental offices \u2013 similar (and they all smell the same).<\/p>\n

The list can go on and on.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the key question\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

If your business is similar to others (and for most of us, we aren\u2019t the only one in our field), what are YOU doing to stand out and be unique so you get noticed?<\/strong><\/p>\n
