Do you have somebody who makes you feel special and loved? (Hopefully, you have more than one person.)<\/span><\/p>\n

I sure hope so!<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m grateful every single day to have my person!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And, just when I thought this week couldn\u2019t get any better, a new client sent me a birthday cake.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hand-delivered<\/strong> by the chef\/owner\/maker of the cake\u2026 to my front door!
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

As a business owner, and a person who coaches and consults with other business owners, I\u2019m always looking for lessons.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s easy to find the things that frustrate you and that you think could be improved on\u2026 customer service challenges and issues seem to be everywhere these days.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s a bit harder to find outstanding service and amazing attention to detail.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Well, I found it Monday when the cake was delivered<\/strong> \u2013 2 days before my birthday!<\/span><\/p>\n

It started with the handwritten directions on the box<\/strong> about how to open it \u2013 so I didn\u2019t damage the cake (or ruin it in my case \u2013 I tend to do things like a \u201cbull in a China shop\u201d).<\/span><\/p>\n

A birthday card from my client and a card on top of it that said, \u201cPlease open before serving the cake\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

In that card were directions on how to cut the cake to get maximum<\/strong> servings out of it, a list of what was edible and what wasn\u2019t, a list of ingredients and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t fancy. It wasn\u2019t sophisticated.<\/span><\/p>\n

But it was attention to detail and impressive.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There were a few things I would have added or done differently. But that\u2019s not the point of this particular message.<\/span><\/p>\n

It takes so little these days to impress people. <\/span>
\nAttention to detail isn\u2019t hard\u2026 it takes a little extra effort<\/strong> \u2013 but it\u2019s so worth it!<\/strong><\/span>
\nA little effort goes a long way!<\/strong><\/span>
\nEasy referrals<\/strong> happen when you do good work!<\/span><\/p>\n
