Labor Day<\/strong> has come and gone\u2026<\/p>\n

Summer<\/strong> is coming to an end (and it\u2019s been a hot one).<\/p>\n

College football started. Professional football will start this week.<\/p>\n

\"\"It\u2019s US Open Tennis time. And the end of the Women\u2019s National Basketball Association\u2019s regular season.
\n(I\u2019m sure there are more\u2026 these are just the ones I follow and know about)<\/p>\n

Yes, if you didn\u2019t already know, I\u2019m a sports fan!<\/p>\n

I love the lessons sports provide for life and business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not a huge tennis fan, but I seem to always find myself watching Wimbledon and the US Open.<\/p>\n

This past Labor Day weekend was no different.<\/p>\n

How does an unranked player beat the #1 player in the world?…
\nFor the third time?<\/p>\n

How does the favored player get beat the first 2 sets and look like they forgot to show up and then come roaring back to win the next 3 sets and the match?<\/p>\n

Or how does a team that pretty much everyone (except the players and the coach \u2013 and maybe even them) thought the best part of their game was going to be the pre-game speech end up winning and winning big?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the same in business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sometimes the unlikeliest of us<\/strong> end up doing very well for ourselves and helping a lot of people in the process.
\nSome of us don\u2019t break through until we\u2019re older \u2013 at an age others are retiring.<\/p>\n

The great thing about business is you don\u2019t have to be ultra talented.<\/strong> You don\u2019t have to be super fit or train for years. You don\u2019t even have to have a massive skill set<\/strong> to be successful in business.<\/p>\n

You can hire almost everything you need to have a successful business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just like in sports, you need a good team around you.<\/strong> A team that compliments your skillsets. A team who\u2019s good at the things you aren\u2019t \u2013 or that you don\u2019t want to do.<\/p>\n

Hard work. Dedication. A will to win. A desire to learn.<\/p>\n

Do you have those?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If so, you can be successful in business.<\/p>\n

It might take a little longer than you think it should. But if you stick with it and stay focused, you can do it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

No need to run at lightning speed\u2026 you don\u2019t have to have the strength of the hulk\u2026 you don\u2019t have to train at all hours of the day and night to become world class.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t need to be world class to have a very successful business that will allow you to provide well for yourself and your family. You just have to be good\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026 and surround yourself with a good team.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With that\u2026 you\u2019ll go far.<\/strong><\/p>\n
