In a couple of days, it will be October\u2026 I know you could have figured that out on your own and are probably even already acutely aware.<\/span><\/p>\n

So why am I bringing it up?<\/span><\/p>\n

Many business owners will now look at where they are in relation to their goals<\/strong> for the year, realize they are behind,<\/strong> and now start to really focus<\/strong> and work like crazy for the next 3 months to reach those goals.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

They will finish strong!<\/strong>\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

It will be a mad rush and an intense time.<\/span><\/p>\n

And, if that works for you, that\u2019s great!<\/span><\/p>\n

Or you could do it differently.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

You could keep track throughout the year<\/strong> and know where you are at every turn.<\/span><\/p>\n

Every week, every month, every quarter.<\/span><\/p>\n

And as you keep a constant and vigilant eye on your numbers and your business goals throughout the whole year, then you can make small tweaks and adjustments<\/strong> as you go.<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of working in panic mode in the last quarter of your business.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the past few weeks, I\u2019ve seen announcements of several local businesses closing. And I\u2019ve received messages from some business owners and entrepreneurs that they\u2019re struggling.<\/span><\/p>\n

The one thing all these people have in common is they haven\u2019t been consistently marketing<\/strong> their businesses.<\/span>
\nABM<\/strong> is what I call it\u2026 A<\/strong>lways B<\/strong>e M<\/strong>arketing!<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re always marketing, you won\u2019t experience the roller coaster so many businesses do.<\/span><\/p>\n

Have you ever heard somebody say it\u2019s out \u201coff season\u201d or it\u2019s our \u201cbusy time of the year\u201d?<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s a marketing issue.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, some businesses are more seasonal than others. Some businesses will be busier during the holidays, for example, than at other times.<\/span><\/p>\n

BUT\u2026 don\u2019t use that as an excuse for allowing your business to fall into those traps. I encourage and challenge my clients to set up their marketing plans<\/strong> to account for the natural \u201cslower times\u201d, so they don\u2019t have a slow season.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re always marketing \u2013 even during your busy times,<\/strong> you\u2019ll be far less likely to have slow times.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, by all means, finish 2023 strong.<\/strong> And, set up 2024 so you don\u2019t have to push harder in the fourth quarter to play catch up!<\/span><\/p>\n
