Last week, I came across an interview with Queen Latifah and she was asked what the best advice she ever received was.<\/p>\n

\"\"Her response (in much shorter order than she said it) was that early in her career when she was upset about something a member of her team (who is still with her) said to her\u2026 \u201cIt ain\u2019t that serious.\u201d That was the best advice she ever got.<\/p>\n

It got me thinking about something a business associate said once that has stuck with me. It was something to the effect of \u201cnothing is ever as bad or as good as we think it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

That thing you\u2019re afraid to do, that new thing you want to try but aren\u2019t quite sure about, all the things you\u2019re hesitating to do\u2026 just take the step and do it.<\/p>\n

No matter how it turns out, tomorrow will come and you\u2019ll move forward in your life and business.<\/p>\n

I have a good friend who\u2019s a cancer survivor who says, \u201cI didn\u2019t survive cancer to die from stress\u201d.<\/p>\n

Owning a business can be stressful. And it\u2019s a serious matter \u2013 since your livelihood (and maybe that of your family) depends on it. Just don\u2019t let it take the fun out of your life\u2026 or your business.<\/p>\n
