I immediately started to laugh.<\/p>\n
Then I thought about how so many of us do this very same thing in our lives and businesses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We lock things up<\/strong> tight\u2026<\/p>\n Only to leave the key<\/strong> \u2013 where anybody can get inside.<\/p>\n Sometimes this happens because we get in too big of a hurry. We\u2019re rushing around trying to get everything done, instead of taking our time and doing them right the first time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n I couldn\u2019t help but wonder<\/strong> what was inside that locker (no, I didn\u2019t look).<\/p>\n What was so valuable<\/strong> that you had to put a lock on it to keep others out?<\/p>\n But not so valuable<\/strong> that you didn\u2019t take the key with you \u2013 so you could actually keep them out.<\/p>\n How many times do we do the wrong things (for what we think is the right reason)?<\/p>\n And then, knowing we\u2019re wrong, hold onto that decision like our lives depend on it?<\/p>\n Protect<\/strong> what\u2019s yours that needs to be protected.<\/p>\n And, in business there are things that need to be protected.<\/p>\n Just make sure you are really protecting those things and it\u2019s not an illusion<\/strong>\u2026like the lock that\u2019s locked but still has the key in it.<\/p>\n What are you leaving unprotected that needs to be protected?<\/p>\n To Your Success \u2013<\/p>\n I was at the gym the other day (as I am most days of the week \u2013 consistency) and when I turned the corner to enter the women\u2019s locker room I saw this lock on a locker.
