Systems\u2026<\/p>\n

Systems in your business are critically important.<\/strong> For efficiency. For consistency.<\/strong> For productivity.<\/strong> For growth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And so much more.<\/p>\n

Last Friday night I was watching the new Women\u2019s 3X3 (read three X three, not 3 on 3) league, called Unrivaled, and the coaches in the huddles and the commentators kept talking about the importance of following the system.<\/p>\n

It immediately caught my attention \u2013 probably because I talk about systems so much.<\/p>\n

\"\"I have to admit, I never thought about sports as \u201csystems\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Strategy<\/strong> is a big part of sports \u2013 that I have always understood.<\/p>\n

As I thought about it, I realized how different the systems were that each team is running.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not different in our businesses.<\/p>\n

We all need systems.<\/strong> And systems inside systems<\/strong> in our businesses.<\/p>\n

As usual, business mimics life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Systems<\/strong> are what make your business work and run the way you want it to.<\/p>\n

Systems<\/strong> allow everybody to be on the same page because they know where they\u2019re headed, why and what the ultimate mission<\/strong> or goal<\/strong> is.<\/p>\n

When systems aren\u2019t followed, it creates a disjointed approach and poor results.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just like you can\u2019t drive a car in more than one direction at a time, your business can\u2019t move in multiple directions all at once.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And it your team isn\u2019t all working together toward the same goal,<\/strong> in the same system,<\/strong> well\u2026<\/p>\n

You\u2019re going to end up with turnovers, fouls, and a losing season.<\/p>\n

Or in business terms, you end up with a loss of focus and direction, programs and services that aren\u2019t appealing and ultimately failures that cause your business profits.<\/strong><\/p>\n
