Your Business Needs Quiet Reflection…Just Like You

Do you take time, not only for yourself, but in your business, for quiet and reflection?
Now that might sound like a strange question, but your business, just like you, needs quiet reflection.
How do you grow your business? How do you know what the next thing is to do in your business? How do you know what your numbers are? It doesn’t happen in the hustle and bustle of the busy business day.
It happens in the quiet reflection on your business.
When you’re getting ready to market a new product, a new program, to launch something, if you don’t spend some time planning and reflecting and looking at what you did the last time you did this or a similar program…looking at what worked and what didn’t work, looking at the things you would change, and so on, then you can’t move your business forward.
That’s all quiet business reflection. Look at what’s happening in your business and what it you need to do to grow, to change, to make things better.
Just like in your life, you need time to reflect, to be quiet, to rest your body, to rejuvenate. Your business has the same ebbs and flows as your physical body. Now, your ebbs and flows should be small ups and downs, they shouldn’t be a roller coaster – if you’re constantly marketing. But, you do have those times in your business when things are going really well and times when things feel a bit off or are slower. Take the time to reflect and to plan.
Take some time out. Don’t be doing, doing, doing all the time. Don’t be constantly going, going, going.
Take one day each week to work on your business. One day out of every week. It doesn’t have to be a full day, you could do a morning one day, an afternoon the next, two mornings in a row for a few hours but you need to work on your business at least one full day every single week.
Don’t do this in your office, or in your typical work space. Go somewhere quiet, turn off your phone, turn off your computer, email, everything – and have some quiet reflection about your business.
Read some of the things you’ve been meaning to catch up on.
Spend some time quietly reflecting about your business once a month. If you do this, you’re going to learn a lot, you’re going to get so much done in your business, and you’re going to be so much more productive. You’ll be amazed. Take one day out of every month to do this and it will change your business.
