Broken Promises…

We’re 15 days into the New Year and into the month of January.

Are you keeping your “New Years Resolutions”?

The easiest promises to break are the ones you make to yourself.

They are also the costliest ones.

You may not recognize them as costly because it’s easy to look away, to divert your eyes, to be in denial.

The worst way to break the promises you made to yourself is by putting others before you. By making somebody else’s priorities more important than your own.

We do that because we don’t want to be thought of as selfish.

Sometimes we do it because it’s easier than pushing ourselves forward past our comfort zones.

I saw a quote the other day that said, “Surround yourself with those who tell you what you need to hear, not only what you want to hear.”
