Are You Doing It YOUR Way?

I see it all the time.

You hire a coach and suddenly you go from wanting a $500,000 a year business to saying you want a $1 Million a year business.

Question: Do YOU really want that?

Or did you let your coach pressure you into that number?

Do you say you want something in your business or life because you think it’s what is expected or because it’s what you really want?

Comparing is always a losing game, but we all do it!

Do you look at your field or industry and say, I should be doing that?

Or are you truly happy where you are and just want to tweak and upgrade some things?

These are questions only you can answer.

I see it all the time… and hear about it even more often.

As a matter of fact, I had somebody say it to me earlier this week…

“That coach pushes people to want to do $1 Million in their businesses so they can brag about them.”

I call foul!

When I work with clients, sure I want to push and stretch you.

AND the most important thing is you need to be happy with what you’re doing and with your results.

It’s not about me… it’s about my client!

Your wants, your needs, your desires.

Sometimes, as your business progresses, you change your mind about where you want to be.

Sometimes that means you decide you want a bigger business than you originally thought.

Sometimes that means you decide not to build as big as you originally thought you wanted to.

AND both are perfectly fine!

It’s YOUR business!

I’m the coach…

There’s so much pressure as business owners (and people) to do more, to have more, to change the world, to make more money, and the list goes on and on.Nothing wrong with any of that…

If it’s what YOU want!

Not because you feel pressured to have it, or to do it, or to build it to a certain level.

Pressure from a coach…

Pressure from society…

None of that matters.

What matters is what YOU want!

When was the last time you sat down and got quiet and really thought about where you want to be, how much money you want to make, how many hours you want to work, etc.?

I’ve done a lot of this in the last year or so.

And my answers now are very different than where they were 5, 10 or 20 years ago.

Today, what I really want is for my business to give me the freedom to spend time with my special someone and to provide enough money to build my retirement and to let me enjoy my life now.

I have clients who are scaling up and clients who are scaling down a bit and everything in between.

And they all have the freedom to build their businesses their way. Based on where they are right now. When, and if, that changes we shift.

Don’t get pushed into doing something that doesn’t fit you or your business.

And don’t get held back from growing the way you want to either.
