Stop Spreading BS…

No BS

It’s prevalent right now…the BS that people are spreading and that others are buying and buying into. And, it has to stop!

What’s the old adage about if it sounds too good to be true it probably is?  It’s true and you have to use your critical thinking skills and be aware and mindful all the time or the BS will slip under the cracks and you won’t even know it crept in and got you.

It’s easy to believe what’s right in front of our faces without really thinking about it too much. Oh, look at that, her make-up is perfect (as we say under our breath, isn’t that nice for her…she must have a great make-up artist) or wow look how successful his launch was (but do you really know the facts of their business…even if you’re in a mastermind with them and they told the results) or that person really has it all together, they have a great life – they travel and have family and friends that love them and they know all the right people in the industry (while you sit there thinking about all the challenges you have in your life and business and wish you had their connections).

Does any of that sound familiar to you?

Or, you hear a pitch for a product or service and they say all the right things, the price/investment is amazing and you jump in with both feet…before you ask your critical thinking questions.

As marketers you want people to do just that – as long as you’re telling them the truth. As business owners investing our money on things, we want to think before we act.

For example, if you were investing in Pay-Per-Click advertising and a company said they could get you amazing results and a bunch of new clients every month and all you had to do was spend $500 on ads and their fee was $175 a month (35% of your ad spend) how much attention is your account going to get if they’re only getting $175 a month?  As opposed to a company who would charge you $500 a month?  It’s not all about the money but you do have to be mindful about things in your life and in your business.

Mindfulness isn’t something a lot of people are talking about these days…you hear about mindset and you hear about all kinds of business building and marketing stuff, but being mindful is so important…

And, it’s one of the things I’m going to be talking about November 6th & 7th at the  “Mindful Business Success Summit™”. Check out the details…I’d love to see you there…there are less than 10 seats left of the 30 that were available.

Make It A Great Day –

Diane
