Overcoming Obstacles

We all have obstacles in our lives and our businesses.
Sometimes it’s the little things and sometimes the obstacles seem larger… like when you shoot 14 videos and forget to plug in the mic cord, as opposed to shooting 2 videos and the record button didn’t get pressed…lol – ask me how I know those things!
I heard this quote the other day and it really resonated with me so I’m sharing it with you in hopes that it will at least make you stop and think for a minute or so…
“You are the sum of the obstacles you have overcome.”
Obstacles are actually good things because how would you grow without challenges and obstacles being put in your path. Most of us don’t like being challenged. Most of us don’t like change. We will all do more to avoid pain than to gain pleasure — it’s just human nature.
In business, and in life, change is constant and so are challenges and obstacles if you’re moving forward and making an impact. The difference is do you react or respond? Do you white knuckle the steering wheel of life and try to control everything or do you go with the flow and allow yourself to be in flow so things come easier?
