A Cane? Did She Really Say Use A Cane?

During my second visit in only 10 days, to the Orthopedic Surgeon’s office, last week, the PA looked at me and said “have you considered a cane”?

I’m 59, not 89…

To say I was a little less than open to the idea would be an understatement (a major one)!

At the time my knee was swollen with fluid and was double its normal size… for the second time in less than a week. Walking was a struggle at best and I was taking the stairs one at a time… like I’m a year old.

The image that came to my head when she said cane isn’t one I have for myself.

Neither was Total Knee Replacement, but that’s happening in April (and that includes using a walker… a cane sounds so much better than that). As the doctor said… the knee has decided for you that you’re having the Total Knee Replacement – soon.

I started to think about how this relates to business and how sometimes we think we aren’t ready for something. Or maybe even that business isn’t for us, that we aren’t cut out to own a business.

It’s really more about how we see ourselves than anything else.

How do you see yourself?

Are you worthy?

YOU ARE!

You are worthy now – you always have been, and you always will be!

Sometimes life forces change on you – whether you think you’re ready for it or not.

Your business will do the same. When it does, ride the wave, go with the changes and watch yourself skyrocket!

You got this!

And, even if the change is a storm, it’s all temporary anyway.

This too shall pass.

And think of the stories you’ll have to tell in the future.

The coach in me keeps telling myself this in the mornings when I’m still and it’s physically hard to get upright.

By the way, in case you’re wondering…

I got the cane… just in case. LOL!!

I have a couple of upcoming events I might want to take it to – just in case… you know!!

Changing paradigms can be hard – but it doesn’t have to be!

To Your Success –
