Starting Tomorrow…

I went to Ohio last weekend for my high school reunion. We’ve had one every 5 years since high school (because we have the best class president on the planet).
As I was sitting in the Dayton airport waiting on an airplane to arrive (there were massive weather delays due to storms in Atlanta) I looked up and, on the wall, there was a big sign that said…
I wondered how many thousands of people walk past that sign every week and never read it, pay attention to it, or even think about it.
What was especially interesting was about an hour later, I was on Facebook and a friend put a post up that she was going to start watching what she was putting in her mouth starting 2 weeks from then.
When I asked why she wasn’t starting now, she replied that there was food in the freezer that needed to be eaten. (You’ll be surprised to know I didn’t reply)
I see this all the time in business. People have all kinds of “reasons” – read Excuses – why they don’t do things, why they don’t start and more.
We put things off because we think we have time…
…but you never know how much time you really have.
And, in business, things are moving faster than ever right now.
The problem with thinking you’ll start tomorrow (or at a later date) is there will almost always be something that gets in the way. Something else will come up.
Another priority will pop up.
You just have to start!
And, stop waiting until everything is perfect, or for the perfect time…
Because it never will be.
Start!
