You Don’t Need More Clients. You May Need a Different Way to Make Money From the Ones You Have.

When business owners want more revenue, the answer seems obvious.
Get more clients.
More clients equal more money.
Except that’s only one way to grow revenue.
One of my Diane’s Dozen principles is There’s Always an Alternative Way to Do Something.
That principle is incredibly useful in a Rapid Revenue Remodel because it forces us to challenge the automatic answer.
Before we spend more money and effort finding new customers, let’s look at the customers you already have.
Are they buying once and disappearing?
Do they have another problem you can legitimately help them solve?
Is there a next step after your current offer?
Would ongoing support help them maintain or improve the result?
Could something become recurring?
Could a former client come back?
Could a past buyer move into a higher-level offer?
Could one client relationship be worth more without becoming more complicated?
Those are alternative revenue paths.
And sometimes they’re faster than starting from zero with a stranger.
Think about everything required to create a new customer.
You have to get their attention.
Build trust.
Explain the problem.
Explain the solution.
Handle objections.
Make the sale.
An existing client already knows you.
They already know how you work.
They already have evidence that you can help.
If there is a legitimate next step, why wouldn’t you make it available?
The key word is legitimate.
This isn’t about inventing random things to sell to people.
It’s about looking at the client’s journey.
What do they need next?
Maybe the project you complete creates a new set of needs.
Maybe strategy needs implementation.
Maybe implementation needs maintenance.
Maybe an initial transformation needs ongoing accountability.
Maybe clients need access to you at a lower level after the main engagement ends.
That could create recurring revenue.
It could increase lifetime customer value.
It could make revenue more predictable.
And it may reduce the pressure to constantly find new people.
That’s a Rapid Revenue Remodel.
Same expertise.
Same clients.
Different model.
This is why I don’t like assuming there’s only one way to fix a revenue problem.
More leads might be the answer.
But they aren’t always the answer.
Sometimes the better question is…What have we left unfinished with the people who already trust us?
There’s always an alternative way to do something.
Before you chase the next hundred prospects, look at the customers already inside your business.
Your next revenue stream may already know your name.
Would you like me to take a look at your current model and show you one or two ways you can increase your revenue?
Just reply “Remodel” and I’ll help you discover at least one.
